Welcome to 5B Quarter Horses
Dave and Myra Belson are the owners of the 5B Quarter Horses Ranch in Cave
Creek, Arizona.
They have been involved in the horse industry since the early 60's. Originally
from Chicago, Illinois, where they raised, showed and bred Quarter horses for
reining and all around classes. Moved to Arizona in 1980 and continued in the
breeding and competitions, standing some outstanding stallions such as Smart
Peppy Playboy, Boomernicker, Rattle n Hum, Doc n Jose and Gangster Chic.
They primarily breed for reining and cowhorses. They have been in the top 100
statistics for many years. Dave has been recognized as an AQHA breeder for 35
years. He s an NRHA, AQHA & APHA judge. He has judged in Italy, Australia,
Israel, Belgium & Canada. He also judged the APha world show and the pure bred &
half bred Arab reining at the Scottsdale Arabian horse show.
As a breeder and manager of the 5B Quarter Horse Ranch, they do all collections,
inseminating, shipping and evaluation at the ranch.
Dave is also an accomplished non-pro, has been NRHA Futurity finalist, NRBC
finalist, RMRHA Summer Slide Futurity Champion, CRHA Challenge Futurity
Champion.
The Belson's have three married daughters, four grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.
